Freddie Slater wins opening race of the Formula Regional Middle East Championship

Freddie Slater took a commanding victory in the opening race of the Middle East championship at Yas Marina.

After qualifying on pole, Slater was able to extend his lead above 2 seconds in the first five laps, crossing the line over 7 seconds clear of P2.

Slater also won race 3, and finished P6 in race 2, leading the championship at the close of the race weekend.
